We've rolled through 31 states so far, the scene inside the RV looking typically like this: Either Blake or I behind the wheel, and the other one sitting shotgun tapping away on a laptop. Pauline holds court in the back at the kitchen-table-turned-video-production- studio and edits footage. We have a system down that involves simultaneous charging of cell phones, power cord organization, freezer packs (for cooling down our hot-to-touch laptops) and iced coffee consumption. It's worked out pretty well so far.
But we crossed from South Dakota into Wyoming yesterday and drove through Bighorn National Park on our way to film a story in Thermopolis. Nevermind complete loss of internet and cell phone service... how are we supposed to focus on laptop screens when it looks like this out the windshield?
We'll do our best to stay on task here, but it may involve serious self-discipline... and extra reserves of iced coffee.
