Mobilize for Health Reform!
Your help gets us one step closer to meaningful health care reform. Take action today and get the attention of politicians, the media, and those in your community.
Here are some ways to get involved:
- Write a letter to the editor.
Worried about being able to afford health care in the future? Have thoughts on how to fix our health care system? Tell your community what you think. A letter to the editor of your local paper is a great way to get the attention of politicians and the public. See our tips for writing a letter to the editor and feel free to use our talking points and sample letters.
- Make your voice heard at public hearings and community meetings.
Like you, many Americans worry about being able to afford the health care they need. While we may disagree about particular solutions, all of us deserve higher quality, lower cost health care. One idea: call your local representatives and find out about any upcoming town hall meetings they are holding in your community.
- Contact your lawmakers in Washington.
Tell them that you want your health and financial interests put over interests of big money lobbyists. Click here for a sample letter and our talking points.
- Call in your local talk radio station.
Maybe you've already shared your personal health care story with us, but now's your chance to reach radio-listeners and to tell them about the Cover America Tour!
- Post photos to our flickr group.
If you met us in your hometown, post your photos of the event here.
- Join our social network.
We have developed a selection of Internet-ready public service
announcements that can be used to link to CoverAmericaTour.org from
any blog or web site:
